2 quick questions:
Do you have access to the database where the lotto numbers are stored?
Do you have a server side scripting language you can take advantage of? If so then which?
It would be quite simple to have the lotto numbers as an RSS feed if the answer to the first 2 questions is yes. Let me know and I can help you in more detail to get this working for you.

Thank you for your quick answer.
I give you more details:
=> Our current process right now is as follow:
For example, for the case of Euromillions lottery, the winning numbers are released on the Internet the Friday afternoon (Canada, Vancouver Pacific time). Then people in my company grab these numbers on the internet. Because of a proving process, they are just able to enter them in the database (As400) the Monday morning. So, the numbers are displayed on our website very late.
=> As an alternative and faster system, I think about RSS and grab these numbers from an external source.
To answer concretely to both of your question:
1/ Do you have access to the database where the lotto numbers are stored?
I think I would be able to have access to the database but It would give me nothing like the updated numbers are just entered very late.
2/ Do you have a server side scripting language you can take advantage of? If so then which?
We work with a java environment : Websphere application server and web pages are developed in JSP.
Basically, the big issue is the long proving process and then, I donít know if we should go with RSS or develop our proper database with a much faster proving process.
Thanks for your help

So if I am understanding you correctly you want to recieve the numbers in a more simple fashion and perhaps automate the insertion of the numbers to your database?
When I first read your post I thought you wanted to broadcast the numbers using RSS, but you want to recieve them from an RSS is this right?

Yes thatís right. I want to receive the numbers from an RSS but my concerns are:
- Where I can really get a reliable info?
- Where I can get the most updated info?
Thatís why the more I am doing researches, the more I am wondering if the best solution is not to go through an other database than we have right now, without this long proving process.(If I can't use RSS)
I have not really thought to automate the insertion in the databaseÖ

-Where I can really get a reliable info?
Well I wonder where you are getting it from now? And do you think that if you asked they would set up RSS?
-Where I can get the most updated info?
I would guess that it would be from the lottery commision itself. The trick is getting them to have their information sent to you in the format you want.
Ideally if you could find a 'authorized' RSS feed then you could use that to show on your website, this would effectively remove the need for you to store the numbers yourself unless you wanted it for historical data. The fact is that you need to find someone that is sending out this data in an RSS feed.
Have you seen an RSS feed of the lotto numbers? Can I assume that you are asking for the Vancouver CA lotto? I can do some looking if you are not sure about how to find one. If you have one in mind then I can help you use that.
I will also mention that if you do find an RSS feed with this info it wouldn't be hard to use that to update your database automatically. That would take a little coding though.

Sorry about the delay of response.
I have found this web site. It provides rss feed especially for lotteries numbers. <snip>
I think I am going to try through this way.
Thank you for your help, though.
