how to get firefox to to detect RSS on a page?
I'm told firefox will display some sort of a message when a site has RSS enabled?
Yes, it appears as an icon in the status bar.
Insert the following into the header of your homepage (or main page with the RSS feed):-
<link href="http://www.example.com/some.rss" rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="TITLE OF YOUR RSS FEED" />
that looks like the Yahoo autodiscovery tag also.
2 birds 1 tag hehe
Thanks for that Trill, I was wondering how to do it.
Works like a charm :)
This info was helpful to me as well... thanks :)
Another question though... does RSS work with Internet Explorer as it doesn't appear to?
awesome, thank you, i was wondering about that also the past couple of days
Did make the include ... :-) nothing in <head></head>
Something to do in FireFox too?
Fixed it, just a stupid typo in the URL.
For those who don't know, just a little image in the bottom right.
And it works for multiple RSS feeds
