Hello all: I'm stumped, either the answer is overly obvious (and I apologise) or I missed the point, so please help: I want to create an rss feed for a FP website. FP 2003 has an XML extension feature. Can I create this rss feed(page)using FP,link to my site and upload to my server? Or do I need another source to create and publish same? I questioned my host if they support rss scripts and they do not. I've been digging thru all the great tips you have posted, but I don't see this topic specifically addressed. Grateful thanks to all for your help and your time.

FP 2003 does not have a feature to generate RSS feeds. RSS feeds are text files, and you can create them using any text editor, including the editor in FP, although you'd probably be better off with something like notepad. If you're not familiar with the RSS layout, there are plenty of tools out there which will generate the file for you. The file may then simply be added to your FP web, linked, and uploaded accordingly.

There are a bunch of threads in this very forum that recommend various feed generators, like this one: RSS Creation [webmasterworld.com]. I let the blog software create most of my feeds, although I do have a few that I still maintain by hand.
