How do I include XML/RSS feeds on my web site?

This is a subject I am very fuzzy about--a novice. I see many blogs that have XML feeds (or are they called RSS feeds?) that I gather are for distribution on the web, through special readers or scripts that will display the info on a web site. Not even sure if I got that right...

If possbile, I'd like to display these XML/RSS-enabled blog entries on a page on my web site. Can someone tell me a bit about this and where I would go to learn how to do this?
