I've read that there are WordPress, MovableType... What's the best?

Hi guys,
I've read about blogs a lot now and decided that I'll try to publish a blog.

I'd like to have a free software. I don't want blogger or smlr, like me.blogger.com . I want to have a blog on my site, like www.mydomain.com/myblog/

Also I'd like to have RSS feeds to offer to people to subscribe.

Could You offer me some good ones?
I know there's MoveableType, WordPress. Are there any others?

thx.

Blogger is very easy to set up, and you can have it FTP the files directly to your domain (so you don't have to have me.blogger.com, you can use me.com).

I have set up blogger powered domains in under 15 minutes.

Check out [CMSmatrix.org...]

They list piles of CMS and also use SEO as part of the rating.

Patrick's advice is good - if you want to do it really quickly and are happy with the functionality of Blogger it is a good way to get your feet wet.

thx a lot PatrickDeese,
I didn't know that I can add blogger into my account. That's great, but can I offer people RSS feeds to subscribe?

Because that's the main point, I want to give people ability to check my headlines with RSS news aggregators.

Can blogger do that?

Blogger creates an xml feed by clicking a checkbox, it may even be set as the default setting.

These are some of the better ones:
  • MovableType
  • WordPress
  • Blosxom

You might want to look at these as well if Blogger is too simple for you.

Wordpress is FREE, highly customizable and is very popular. Offers RSS feeds (Blogger only offers Atom feeds).

You can also customize Blogger by editing the template. And you can host Blogger blogs on your site as mentioned above.
