Just came across this good RSS tutorial which may be helpful for some of the people who have been posting here recently.

It comes from a U.S. Government bod, which is an unlikely source but nyce anyway.

If anyone has found or written a better one, mod please remove. Just tryin to help.

Actually Eurotrash, that is the best RSS tutorial I have seen. I have a few bookmarked that go into scrapping your own site and creating a feed but this one is a complete overview, from the intro to the use.

Good stuff. I will use that when I write my own guide, thanks!

Very good link! I'm working right now on an RSS-extension for Typo3 and this web ressource came in very handy!

Since there is already an RDF/RSS 1.0 extension for Typo3, I decided to focus on RSS 0.91 and 2.0 only. From a user's perspective, you think that's enough to chose from?

We just use 2.0 for our feeds and we haven't been asked for anything else. Would also suggest you get the Yahoo button to allow users to add them to their myYahoo! and make sure you Furl your feeds.

Offering the option to JS your feeds isn't a bad thing to do for people who do not want to read the tutorial mentioned above, or indeed any other tutorial, i.e. for the lazy bar stewards.
