I have manually created an rss feed so I can syndicate content to my visitors. I also want to show a version of that feed on my front page in a little box called "latest news" or something like that.

I have looked into the magpie solution.
I have looked into a few other including some that produce a javascript code. I'm not sure I like the javascript code from an outside site becuase that code can slow down my front page from loading quickly. Plus I would like to get the feeds indexedby the SE's.

Does anybody have any advice as to how I should go about doing this? I have heard a lot about movabletype . Will that program do what I am hoping and help me create and update that feed too?

I have looked into Carp too... it looks ok... but not sure if it is reliable or if I want to use a perl version when I would rather use php. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Did you notice that you can download the magpie solution and stick it on your own server. That would solve the problem above.

Ya. I did end up doing that and magpie works great. Does everything we need it to. Thanks!
