In every other search engine when you search for a single word that returns millions of results, you will see 10 results on the search page. However, MSN shows between 6 to 8 results when 30 some million results are returned. Why is this?

"1-6 of 32,498,488 containing"

Msndude, any input on the random 1-10, 1-7, 1-6, 1-8 results?

I saw that too, on the searches I did there were actually 10 results though. For example if 2 sites had a double listing it said 1 - 8 because there were only 8 unique sites but 10 url's were listed. Not sure if that is what you are seeing.

Hmm.. last night the same thing happened to me. I did a site:widgets.com and four results showed out of 230 something.. pretty weird (and no the dupe content didn't eat up the other pages, I did it the day before as well as in other SEs and all my pages are fine.. well most anyways ;)

MSN does have about 2 1/2 times more pages listed of my site though.. (it's only been around since dec. 26th)
