I thought it was a policy of WW not to 'out' the black hats. That is a shady bit of the 'M' word plus the 'L' word.
lol that made my day
Their trick they are using doesn't seem to be working too well, though. :)
But it does work a little on other pages...
Indeed, I have had posts deleted for pointing out similar blackhats.
That thing doesn't even work. I tried searching for my site. In manual search it comes out to as #4.
The machine search on that site comes back with:
The domain www.****.com couldn't be found in the top-
1000 in MSN Beta for the keyword(s) ****+****.
That thing doesn't even work.
Say it ain't so...
I got the opposite result. It showed 1rst or 2nd page placement for my site on 10-12 highly competitive. If only it were true... Top ranking for several keywords where Google has us at 40+ (brand new site).
Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is supposed to be blackhat?
How about the 1pt white text on a white background stuffed with a few choice keywords. Subtlety is obviously not their strong point...
BTW this is not "outing" a "black hat" site in the slightest - it was MSN themselves who linked to the site, so either they're clueless, careless, or it doesn't worry them that much. So, the interest is not the site in question, it's that MSN is happy to link to it.
Hi, Im the aouther of the script and webmaster for DEVPPL.com
I didn't knew that I wasent allowed to use that text, a friend told me that It would give better ads. Anyway, I have removed it now.
And I want to tell you that the script is updated, It should work better now and be more accurate. You can also check your ranking in different languages.
Note: In this new version, you should skip http:// and just write www.microsoft.com or beta.search.msn.com as domain.
i looked up my site that is ranked number 1 for my keywords in msn beta, and it said my site couldn't be found for those terms...
Am I missing something?
it was MSN themselves who linked to the site, so either they're clueless, careless, or it doesn't worry them that much.
i doubt they even thought about checking the source before linking to it. really, does every blogger check a page's source before linking to something they find interesting? not likely.

Which is your site, and what domain are you using? If you don't want to tell me here, send a PM.
It was only worthy of mention because they went out of their way to endorse that particular product. Imagine if G or Y! pointed at a site like that...
What *is* really interesting is the persistant rumor that msn will feature rss search feeds. That would be real news!
