Buying Online? Be Froogle - Time Mag. Article c1bernaught msg:1531380 1:40 am on Dec 25, 2002 (gmt 0)
Check out page 156 of the Dec. 30, 2002 Time Magazine.
This article basically says that Google is for finding information and that Froogle is the new cool way to shop for products.
Is this a bit of marketing that may be a portent of the future? The ultimate Google goal being the dumping of sales sites from Google, and the birth of the ultimate sales resource... Froogle?

Could be. That's the way many are spinning it (new cool way to shop for products) - perhaps I'll try to grab somebody else's time magazine and take a look.
Also, many have said too - it'll be a great way to drive more targetted impressions of adwords.

I've already done some GREAT shopping online myself with Froogle. Using Google first to research the items (mostly big ticket) and using Froogle to search by model number. Turned a lot of friends on to this technique as well...just earns me more kudos and I get recognition for being on the cutting edge....
