I was once successfully using Froogle. I would upload my datafeed each month to the hedwig ftp server, the products would get posted and I would get some traffic from Froogle. Well, the Froogle site seemed to have been wiped clean and my FTP account and Merchant page no longer work. Alot of my competitor are not even listed in Froogle. Having said this, I hear that GoogleBase is the new invention to handle all datafeeds. When you upload your GoogleBase formated datafeed to Googlebase, the products will get listed on both Googlebase and Froogle. Ok, this is all nice and handy.
My problem is that I have been trying for months to successfully have the products I was successully listing on Froogle get Approved on GoogleBase. The upload work and suceeds per the Googlebase upload page. The product listing get approved, then 24 hours later, they get disapproved. I have contacted Googlebase and received response. None of which address why the items were disapproved. One response did say it was their mistake. Ok, it is all beta, so I try again. Same thing, all get disapproved.
I do see products listed in Googlebase and Froogle and am wonering if anyone has a successful datafeed going to Google base and the products being successfully listed. I went over their terms of service, data feed formats, etc. And have no clue as to what the aloof Googlebase wants from me.
I want to give it one more try before I punt.
Also, any suggestions on other type merchant sites to consider besides Froogle? I use eBay already.
thanks.
