I've been seeing the same problem for the last couple of weeks. Maybe one in 10 tries goes through.

Google Base accepts your Froogle feed without modification. Simply create an FTP account at base.google.com, and submit your feed there, via uploads.google.com. One advantage of publishing via Google Base is Froogle Local. If you have a storefront, simply add your address to your Froogle feed, and your location will appear on a map for local Froogle users.

Google is really getting on my nerves now - even more so than normal. Why oh why can't they sort out the horrible froogle mess before trying to catalog the entire sphere of human knowledge and attempting world domination. hedwig has been spitting the dummy for the last 2 weeks now - this is really unacceptable. Is froogle ever going to leave beta status I wonder?

When this problem first started it was possible to log into your Froogle account and do a feed upload from there. That didn't last to long before it too was as broken as the FTP feed upload. Also no response from Froogle support, none...

Yeah the silence is kinda weird on this one. I even logged in and updated my ftp password; naturally I still got the finger from my ftp client. Maybe it's their way of telling us to go to google base... just go away... froogle go sleepy time now.

If support staff have gone to a conference, that explains the delayed responses to email. But it doesn't explain the server's boorishness. Server admins probably don't go to sales conferences, and besides, the problems have been going on for months.

Couldn't do it by FTP but I did get it to upload through the merchants center. Between this, their analytics program and some problems in the ad section does anyone else get the feeling that they are un-raveling behind the scenes?

well, i think the demize of google is not a likely event in the near future, there moto is "do no evil" not "do no wrong" even geeks mess up somethings, in fact i think we mess up more. i think this is just proof of froogle's BETA status, and proof that unless you are ebay your probs gunna get a crap service from froogle support, even if some are on a sales course!

Well, I just got an Email from froogle feeds support saying that they have been having technical problems with accounts and logins on the FTP server, but all should now be resolved. Will have to wait and see. Upload appeared to work.

So, if you do the feed through GOOGLE BASE, it will show up in FROOGLE? Is that correct?

Correct, if you've previously submitted your feed, and had it approved by Froogle. If you include your address as an additional column with the feed, you'll also appear in Froogle Local Shopping.
