Prevent Google's "cached" link from appearing but still stay in the search results digitalv msg:1528719 4:23 pm on Jun 8, 2004 (gmt 0) Maybe someone knows how to do this ...
Normally when you search for something on Google you'll see the "cached" link after the description where you can view Google's cache of the page. Sometimes though, no cache link appears. What I want to know is how do those sites do that? I want to stay indexed in Google, but I don't want that "cache" link to appear next to my site in the search results.
How do I do this?

Perfect, thanks :) Scarecrow msg:1528722 4:51 pm on Jun 8, 2004 (gmt 0)
Instead of "googlebot" you should use "robots".
That will cover Google, Yahoo, and Gigablast. And, presumably, any other engines that start a cache copy. Do it properly the first time by using "robots" and you won't have to change them all later.
