Directory patterns in query strings
Will robots.txt block them?

Let's say my robots.txt file includes a disallow for
/example2/

And my site has a query string like www.example.com/?from=/example2/footer.html.

I'm paranoid about that. Does anyone have any hands on experience here? Will the robots.txt block that page?

It would come to how a spider interprets it. I personally wouldn't think that url would be blocked by that rule.

Hard to give a 100% answer though.
