lately i often see urls like

[thisisafakedomain.com...]

How is this generated? i now use path_info on apache for friendly urls
but it seems like here the html page is generated by some cms? or is mod rewrite used?

This can certainly be done with the mod rewrite, just do a little search and you will find tutorials and even online generators that will do just what you want.

ok for example :so i have to create the url which is displayed in de adressbar first: www.fakedomain.com/this-is-my-page.html

and than rewrite/translate this url by using the rewrite engine to the real url, for example: www.fakedomain.com?id=12345

is it about this way?

Here's a recent write-up that covers the process: Changing dynamic to static URLs [webmasterworld.com]
