Redirect from dynamic URL to static URL
redirect to a new domain

I am trying to redirect url from a old domain to a new domain, like:
modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=990
to
/something/bla-bla-bla.htm

I put in the .htaccess the line:
redirect 301 /modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=990 [domain.com...]

but nothing happens. I appreciate any comment.

Im trying to do something like this guy:
[webmasterworld.com...]
but nobody help him.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

The usual approach is to change the links on your pages to output the static URLs, and then use mod_rewrite to change those URLs, when requested from your server, back into the form needed to invoke your script(s).
