Apache and Cookies
Webhost is fine, localhost does not allow HTTP_COOKIE

 5:21 pm on Nov 1, 2002 (gmt 0)

Using my webhost I can access the variable $ENV{'HTTP_COOKIE'} in Perl, but when I try and use it on my local computer (http://localhost/) it does not have this variable.

I use the local computer for extensive testing, my webhost has limited bandwidth and is akward for making them one character adjustments (you know, when you forget the ';' at the end of a line!)

How can I get Apache to supply this variable to localhost (is it somewhere in the config, because I can't find it)?

Oh... got an answer! (for anyone who wants to know - check the host IP, if it is send or save the cookie to a file, otherwise send it as a cookie!)
