best to do it by IP address or hostname. In your .htaccess deny from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx To do it by Useragent you'd need a script or a mod_rewrite.

Its some kind of proxy cache system so it could come from anywhere. I'd found a couple of references to user agent based denial so I think it is possible but I can't find the exact syntax. I've never used htaccess to deny before and bordermanager is fairly infrequent so I didnt want to resort to trial and error as it would take ages:) Someone using this system just visited two pages - bordermanager generated over a hundred error 404's requesting fragments of javascript :(
