Hi all,
I m trying to use .htaccess file for URL Rewriting. But it is generating an error message (500 internal error). In other case like User Authentication it is working fine. Please tell me what is the problem.

I want to use it in some specific directory.

Try adding this line to your .htaccess file (above any rewrite statements):

Options FollowSymLinks

If that does not work, there may be a syntax error, or your host does not support modrewrite
