multiple ssl vhosts with apache?
is this still something that can't be done with name based vhosting?

A co-worker thought apache had fixed this or implemented something that would allow multiple ssl vhosts using name based vhosting. On our apache 1.3.26 server it appears this isn't working, at least not the way we have it setup. No matter what https site you go to you get the the cert for the first one alphabetically.

If this can't be done what is the best way to accomplish this? Assign a different IP for each vhost that needs a ssl cert?

Thanks
Dan

Each SSL host needs it's own IP for port 443. You can share the IP with a server on port 80 or other ports.

so what I'm saying is that you can run
[yoursite.com...] on the same IP as
https://www.yoursite.com

but you cannot run
https://www.yoursite.com on the same IP as
https://www.someothersite.com
