Domains Sharing IP address Using apache sharing directories... johnraphone msg:1503510 3:50 am on Feb 25, 2003 (gmt 0) I have 2 domain names resolving to an ip address that points all domains to /user/john/www/ . I don't have access to the htconf file. I know its possible but I'm not sure. I would like one domain to continue resolving to /user/john/www/ while the other resolves to /user/john/wwwdomaintwo/ or something similar using apache and .htaccess. Thanks.
just noticed this url: [
] no real information though. webmasterworld.com

This [ webmasterworld.com] intro should get you started. johnraphone msg:1503512 3:29 am on Feb 26, 2003 (gmt 0)
no, thats not what Im looking for, it seems that you need access to httpd.conf to point domains to specific non-www directories. DaveAtIFG msg:1503513 5:47 am on Feb 26, 2003 (gmt 0)
You are correct, you will need a virtual hosting setup and that must be done in httpd.conf. Many commercial hosts will set this up for you for a small one time charge.
