Javascript/CSS text rollover
Is this a good method?

Hi all...I recently had a client ask me to reproduce an image rollover with one that uses actual text so that they could be more search engine friendly. I was considering using a combination of Javascript and CSS, where the onmouseover="MM_showHideLayers method is used to show and hide the appropriate layers when the user mouses over a link. I have two questions about this:

1. How well does this validate across different browsers? I am not that concerned with Netscape 4, but would like it to be acceptable for all the current browsers.

2. Will the search engines be able to read this correctly?

Thanks for any info, and I am also willing to look at other non-flash options for this as well. Thanks!

Regards,
Padraic

This can be achieved very effectively using just CSS
Define:-
a:link {
a:hover {
a:visited {

See the excelent tutorials in Nicks CSS forum.
