Need a javascript to take you to email "thanks" page

Msg#: 132 posted 6:38 pm on Sep 6, 2000 (gmt 0)

Do you all have a javascript that, when one pushes "submit", it will take the user to a "Thank you" page. I tried Joe Burns web site, but the script that was there will not work on Netscape and works sporatically (sp?) on IE. The only other one I found on his site was using a "Thank you" window. And I just don't like that effect. This is such a simple effect I am surprised to have a hard time finding something that works.

Thanks everyone.

This shouldn't have to be done with a javascript - ususally it just part of the form parameters, something like: U-confirm-url=../thankyou.htm

What type of form are you using?

If you can use ASP I can mail you a script that will do the lot, redirects, autoresponders etc, etc.

Oilman: Just a plain jane html form. Nothing to it really. Could you please tell me what I need to look up to find the parameters you described. (Is it html 4.0? I use 3.2)

NFFC: I don't use ASP, but will keep you in mind if someday I should.
