Hi: I posted this question in the Ecommerce Forum about a week ago and received no response so I thought I might have better luck in a general forum.
I have had my site up for almost a year now. During that time I have accumulated a fairly sizable database of basic customer data (sizable to me, at least).
What I am wanting to do is take that data (addresses, zip codes, order specifics, etc.) and analyze it to get a better picture of my customers. I am looking to segment things like income, type of housing (rent or own), sales by geographic area, etc.
I have used MapPoint, which gives a good basic visualization of the data I have. But I am looking for a little more robust analysis of the data.
I know mailing list and direct marketing companies provide this service, but I don't have enough data or budget to go that route - and I would prefer to do it in-house.
Does anyone know of an off-the-shelf program that will do this - preferably one that will accept Excel or .csv files?
