| Wow, that puts the duck-billed platypus to shame! In all honesty, I hope it's at least a close game. After staying up until 1245am last night with the Penn State vs. Florida State game, they've got a lot to live up to.

Hell of a game last night - I thought Penn State would easily win. I'm very excited for tonight's game. I'm betting BIG on the under (c'mon, they're not combining for 70 points!), and I'm also considering betting on Texas. Teams favored by 6.5 or more are 1-11 for the bowl games, so that doesn't bode well for USC. However, no other team is like USC and they can easily win by double digits, so I'll probably avoid betting on a winner. Can't wait for the game.

I canna bring myself to cheer for my neighbors to the south. However, without causing too serious an amount of discomfort to my being, I am at peace with the notion that UT fans such as Brett and Hawkgirl deserve to end their night much happier than the typical USC fan.

I heard they're redoing the Heisman and giving it to Vince. It's going to be in the shape of somebody pitching the ball for a TD even though their knee is already on the ground... All kidding aside, you just KNEW Vince would find a way to get the ball in the end zone when the defense stopped White on that 4th and short. There was no way anybody was going to keep him out of the end zone.

Whew! I'm getting too old for games like that. What a nailbiter! Couldn't believe the Trojans missed that 4th down with 2 minutes to go as that surely would have been the game. After that play, it was uh oh! for the Trojans. No way to stop Young. Leinart didn't give Texas there due at the end, though. Said USC still better... Not today! Go Longhorns!

Proudly wearing my Longhorns sweatshirt today, and I am getting the horns signal whenever I walk through the shipping department. Must have been a good party down on 6th street last night!

Pete Carroll should have punted at 4th and 2 on that last drive - or at least had Reggie Bush in the game. Favorite Keith Jackson moment: -- Jackson: "Only 19 seconds to play ... clock didn't move on that play." -- Fouts: "That's an extra point, it's probably not going to ...
