I bet my wife last week that Trump would try to hire both of them.

That was a terrible move by Randal. He made himself out to be selfish and cocky at the same time. My opinion of him took a complete 180 in the last 10 seconds of that show.

Didn't watch it all - what'd he do?

Trump told Randal he was hired and he celebrated for a little while before Trump asked him to sit down again. Then Trump said that he always hires the best and Rebecca fits his standard of excellence. Trump asked Randal directly if he should hire Rebecca too. Randal said that the show is called "The Apprentice, not The Apprenti" and that he should only hire him. Trump was ready to hire Rebecca and Randal pretty much stabbed her in the back because he wanted to be the only Apprentice.

(I'm not even sure "apprenti" is a real word, that's just the word he used)

Earlier in the show Randal had made a point to say that he should be the "only Apprentice". The strange thing about using the word "only" at that stage is there was no direct hint that Trump was considering hiring both candidates, at least on the show. I think Randal was either tipped off about it or just figured it out from the same subtle hints I figured it out from. Either way it was a pretty sorry move on his part.

I don't hold it against him. He had the guts to say that he wanted a clean win for himself. I wouldn't have done it personally, but I think that most people who would wnat to, would instead advocate hiring her because they thought it would be a better political move.

Yeah I noticed that too.

I, too, totally had a change of heart about Randall once he did that. He didn't have to give up anything if he decided to recommend Rebecca be hired. He WAS the hired Apprentice. Trump let HIM make the decision. Come on buddy. Rebecca deserved it too. It's not like she was going to steal the project you wanted.

I felt so bad for Rebecca after that. She was shocked, and had to take it all on live TV.

And WHAT was up with Alla and Felicia? What did Rebecca do to piss them off so much? Beat them?

I liked them both so much. They were my picks for the final two from early on.
