You must have misheard someone say, "You can get little chillies in Cuba..." Anywhere Caribbean is good - St Vincent & Young Island especially. However, my Christmas will be spent in Scotland where it can get a little chilly ;-) Syzygy

Sunshine for Christmas?! Christmas is about trees, log fires, roast turkey and above all else, snow. I grew up in a place where it virtually never snowed for Christmas, and now I'm living is a place where snow is guaranteed for December 25th, I am certainly not leaving to head south. I'll be out building snowmen and having fun in cold, snowy Canada again this year!

I'm also spending Christmas in chilly Scotland. Can't wait - get away from everything including all those relatives that I really don't want to see. Result.

I agree with encyclo. I'm off to join some friends in Moscow for Christmas and then on December 27th we'll jump on the train to Ukraine and see in 2006 in Kiev. We'll all be completely inebriated the entire time, of course. Last year we went to Bansko in the Pirin mountains in Bulgaria, but this trip, if anything will be even more fun!

The aggravation of holiday travel is just too great. I am staying home with the punch and egg nog bowls topped, the wood fire burning, and the larder full. All I want for Christmas is peace, comfort, relaxation, and quiet happy clients.

I was thinking about going to Zurich for a few days--kind of the opposite of the climate you were looking for. :)

>>>I'll be out building snowmen and having fun in cold, snowy Canada again this year! Last year I spent Christmas in Florida (as that is where I lived). Now I live in Canada. I would be wishing for something in between. Florida never felt "christmas-ey" but I have a feeling Canada is going to freeze me out. I think my canadian friends are anxiously awaiting to see if I freeze like a popsicle. ;-)

Bangkok is a very nice place for vacation. Things are cheap, good food, for the price of a 3 star hotel in NYC, you could get a 6 stars hotel in Bangkok.
