Of note:

Mars recently emerged into the morning sky and has begun an orbital dance with Earth that will, over the next several months, lead to the best viewing opportunity since Neanderthals looked skyward.

I just got a new telescope prior to the last lunar eclipse, so I can't wait!

Wow I've noticed recently when I go out for a smoke I can see the big red planet very large, and I was thinking, gee I wish I had a telescope. Now I know why it's so big in the sky at the moment. Thanks :)

edit - I'm in australia so viewing times might be a bit different for me. I dont usually go out for a smoke early in the morning :P
