Until I developed some kind of RSI in my eyeballs. Stopped playing and it cleared up.
My Top 5 games -
Quake 3 Arena
Need For Speed series
Prince of Persia
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2
Space Invaders, the best the one and only :)
The First Computer game I ever played was Street Fighter 2, so I have always loved the Street Fighter series, and Black and White.
Either Unreal Tournament or Rainbow Six/Rouge Spear.
2) myst riven
3) myst exclie
Idea, challenges, graphics, story, sounds, creators (the Miller brothers) are genius - imho, myst is by far the best game ever!
... alltough i sometimes also like to fight a bloody duke, quake or doom game. >:)
However, i'm rarely playing compu games so myst is a good choice - only one new release every couple years.
Galaga..a classis for sure!
Civilization series *****
Master of Orion series ****
"Loom", it was a nice Amiga adventure game.

Yea I remeber being introduced to those games on a sega console. It;s very wierd to think back to how good they where, then take a look at them now and see the difference. Game development has come a long way in a very short time.

Now when I started playing games, it was on a machine like on the right of this page [atari-spielanleitungen.de] and funnily enough I had more or less the same games than that guy:
Pole Position ****
Missile Command **
Space Invaders *****
Plus a game called 'Pele's soccer', where you had a white rectangle divided by a line in the middle and one hole at each end. Then 3 red dots and 3 blue dots represented the teams, you could only move them all together. Plus there was a dot as goal keeper for each team. And the ball was a white dot. I loved it. definitely *****!
secret of monkey island - amiga
golden axe on mame(or better on original "machine")
terry's big adventure - on c64
gods - amiga
1942 - c64
probably some more but icant rememebr now.
Ooooooh I loved this one! Have to look for my old c64 next time I go visit my mum!
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2
Settlers (Whole series)
Tiger Woods 2003 is currently ruling the roost in our house, great for multiplayer. *****
The Championship Manager series, the best football (soccer) management sim ever. *****
Sensible Soccer, it was a classic. *****
Exodus Ultima IV for the C64 *****
Winter and Summer games for C64 *****
*****s are time adjusted - I assume they would suck today.
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Of them though the best has gotta be GTA. Closest you will get to absolute real life carnage on your computer screen.
An amazing VGA game which at first looks a bit like Pacman but is a lot more complex and requires a bit of thinking "lemmings" style before a level can be completed. I think there is a time adjusted version available for download somewhere...
Dune 2 (Amiga)
X Com series (Amiga / PC)
Settlers (Amiga / PC)
C&C Red Alert (PC)
LMA Manager (Playstation)
Everquest (PC - online)
Ah sweet sweet escapism... ;)
I am not a gaming fellow. The only ones i have played are :-
2) Virtual Cop 2
3) Serious Sam I & II
...You are in a maze of twisty passages all alike...
How could I forget that one?
Ancient Anguish, the best (text-based) MUD ever! Can I give it more than 5 stars?
Tomb Raider (PS1)
GTA Vicecity (PS2)(5 smilies for the soundtrack :):):):):) )
to name but a few
|Tiger Woods 2003 is currently ruling the roost in our house, great for multiplayer. ***** |
here to - we play three holes to decide who's making the tea/doing washing up/clean the fish.
Myriad (on the VIC-20 lol - awesome)
Actually, that's cr@p isn't it - this is just me being nostalgic!
Out of the recent stuff I would say Tomb Raider (1) was good in its day. As was Quake III.
Oh, used to love Castle Wolfenstein.
>Oh, used to love Castle Wolfenstein.
hmmm ... i'm too shy and too political correct to second that, but ... halten sie! ;)
Got to be GTA:Vice City, and Championship Manager...
...Although my girlfriend wouldn't agree.
Final Fantasy 7........nearly made me split up with girlfriend for spending too much time on it!
Clue Club - its just awesome!
