They cannot be seen from the side because the images exist as two dimensional representations; it is impossible to see the image from the side because is has no depth. The object, however, exists in three dimensions. If you are situated properly, you can see it from the side, top, bottom, back, . . . well you get the idea. Hmm.. Some hours ago I thought that if I ever were to write an article about that unheard music I might want to link to this thread. That thought is certainly light-years away from my mind right now. Though I must admit that the title of the thread is still relevant...;)
