A mate took me for a ride in his Mazda RX7 last night :) It topped out at 160MPH but we ran out of road, the thing is he had a new dash board put in and his speedo went up to 210MPH... the plus side guess who is designing him his car tuning company web site :) my choice: [tagomago.demon.co.uk...] proud to be English :)

Lawman, is she unwilling to learn how to drive stick? What a good incentive to learn. "Gee, honey, I'm buying this great high-end car. You want to drive it? You'll have to learn stick."

Lazerzubb, I'm very surprised at that. I've never even had the pleasure of seeing one in real life, but it always struck me as quite a monster. I remember when the Countach was one of the fastest road cars around... looks like other companies have not only caught up, but (if you'll excuse the pun) pass her out as well!

| I'm unwilling to teach her - at least not on my car. Besides, she only gets to drive my car in an emergency. She has her very own soccer mom car that I seldom drive. lawman

| Haven't driven it yet, but I like the looks of the 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe |
| Take one for a test drive... you were dead set on that Mercedes, until you got behind the wheel. (Then find a stick instead of an automatic... they're more fun to drive, and you can send your wife to a driving school and let her learn on their cars. ;) )

| The lovely lady from the Great White North is correct once again as usual (Kewpie Doll is on the way). However, I like the sport shift on the Acura. The Infiniti has something similar. A test drive after the first of the year is a distinct possibility. lawman

If you want an automatic tranny, you might was well save 12 grand and get a Pontiac Grand Prix/Buick Regal. You still get a leather interior with what Ward's AutoWorld called "One of the 10 best engines of the last 100 years" and a decent handling chassis. If you want speed, get the Pontaic GTP/Regal GS model. I'd still hold out for a Pontiac GTO, because I've been drooling over Holdens ever since I found out what they were three years ago.

Got a ride in one of the fully-loaded Maximas the other day, was impressed with the build quality and ride. Sat in a G35 coupe, was nice. Wish I remembered more, it was at a car show and I sat in lots of them that day. If you want something black and intimidating, why not get a Hummer H2?

I think I will stay with my 92 Chevy S10 Blazer for a while yet! Specs: white, full tan leather interior, digital dash, 600 watt sound system and a super charged 454 under the hood! I get about 5 gallons to the mile :)
