I can't post it here for fear of being accused of practicing medicine without a license. Nevertheless, rest assured that EVERYTIME I use this miracle product, all cold sypmtoms disappear within seven to ten days.

This is the same cure promulgated by Granny a/k/a Daisy Moses. Not only works for her, it works for everybody.

Raw onions does the trick. It slows down the reproduction cycle of the nasties and your system can get rid of them.

One apple a day keeps the doctor away, one onion a day keeps a lot of people away. ;)

Japanese Green Tea will cure most things especially the common cold, it is also linked to the fact that the Japs are among the highest number of smokers in the world with one of the smallest amounts of lung cancer. Tea and of course their excellent diet are considered a cause.

What's it say about me, that I remember that ep Lawman?

Drink plenty of fluids, get some rest, and in two weeks your cold will be gone.

Beverly Hillbillies... egads. ;)

Megadose C... from 10k - 30k mg depending on how acute the condition is, broken down into smaller doses of 1000 to 1500mg throughout the day.

Ester-C (available in most pharmacies) is almost twice as effective as traditional C since it's metabolized far more effectively. Even better are the brands that are drawn from whole food sources. (available at your local health food store)

The only thing to be aware of is coming off megadoses slowly, even once the illness has headed for the hills. Continue to take the C for a couple of additional days while progressively lowering the dosage.

I've used this (along with lots of garlic when acute) to effectively combat every brush I've had with an upper or lower respiratory infection, whether viral or otherwise.

Haven't been on antibiotics or needed to have an illness related doctor visit in over 10 years. :)

5 shots of whiskey and 2 painkillers will cure most things! :) That'll floor a St Bernard!

Personally I'm a fan of putting about four layers of clothes on and going for a jog. Sweat like a pig and you feel heaps better.

The only thing to be aware of is coming off megadoses slowly, even once the illness has headed for the hills. Continue to take the C for a couple of additional days while progressively lowering the dosage.

And those on birth control pills remember it can affect them too, particularly when you stop taking the vitamin C. Can't remember why though, just remember learning about it in Biochem class.

Also anyone with a common cold shouldn't be taking antibiotics or really even going to the doctor (if it's doctor-bad it's not likely to just be a cold). Rest and fluids really are the best cure (this one I can even remember the biological reasons why too :)).

added:
2 painkillers
2 lemsip extra strength

You probably want to only do one of these, assuming Lemsip is the same as it is here (vitamin C and paracetamol/acetaminophen). Otherwise you'll be doubling up on the painkillers which isn't very good for you and doesn't really increase the painkilling affect.

And you want to make sure that honey is manuka for maximum effect :)

Try either:

2 x pint of beer, or a shot or so of good whisky in hit water and sugar. It clears out all the infections...

Always works for me, although I tend not to get dem cod dings. Aditchooo!

At the first sign of a cold, take a cold shower, and stand naked by an open, drafty window until you are dry. That won't cure the cold, there are no cures for the common cold, but it will give you pneumonia, and there are cures for that. ;)
