Interesting that this took place in Marseille. If anyone is familiar with the French national anthom, (La Marseillaise), the first line (which is repeated several times throughout the anthem) is: "Rise Up Sons of the fatherland, let's stand!" Seems to me this fellow is simply being patriotic! :)
