I should add that I don't expect you to get the exact image as there are many of each of these out there. Tell me what each Gizmo is and what it was used for and that will be good enough.

Spring Lancet's were used to bleed patients. It was believed that if you ran out enough blood you could bleed away the disease so to speak.

gizmo #2 is an early carpenter's chalk line reel, missing the string of course. Used to snap a straight line, maybe even used ink or charcoal back then.

Hey oilman, didn't barbers also perform blood letting? I think that's where the red and white barber pole originated.

The forth instrument looks like a hooked instrument used by ancient embalmers. It was pushed up through the corpses nostrils to pull out bits of brain tissue.

Correct Key_master - in 1994 a team of scientists performed a mummification to test their theories of how the Egyptians did it. They concluded that the tool was actually used to liquify the brain while the body was on its back. The body was then turned over and the brain allowed to drain out. Oilman 1 Coconutz 1 Key_master 1

Sorry Key_master - it was already answered by Coconutz - it's an ink line - akin to a chalk line but using ink instead. Which reminds me that I should post status as well, Gizmos 1,2 & 4 are solved. 3 & 5 remain.
