I've been listening to people. Lots of people. In fact I've been listening my whole life. Some would say I don't listen enough enough, but I hear them saying that, so that counts as listening.
There is a certain word that is used. It's used often.
It's the word, "THE"
People say, "THE President" or they say, "THE Former Soviet Union" or, "THE toilet paper is gone!"
You can't walk outside or through any mall without people saying, "This is THE best deal I've ever gotten". Of course, most recognize this right before they see it cheaper on the Internet. But who searches for the word 'Internet'?
Some people say the word as though they were stuck in the 16th century: "Thee". Right (snicker). "Meet me over at THEE store on the corner, thou wicker chair!".
Others pronounce it as 'thuh'. For example: "THUH".
I am not willing to let this simple little gem of a tool pass me by.
People are talking about it. They are using the word daily. It's one letter short of a four-letter-word. In fact, with ebonics becoming more and more popular..it just very well become a swear word within our lifetime. "What are you doing you <snip by moderators> idiot that is <three letter word snipped by moderators> PRESIDENT you are puking on!"
The use of the word 'The' is so pronounced that is becoming popular in other countries. In certain un-named overpolulated countries, <cough-China>, The name 'The' is getting to be very popular. Chan and Timothy are already used up. Like a 3 place IP address...they ran out. So, many families have decided to use the name "the" as a first name.
In fact I met 'The Wrtenhoi Howwai' the other day. He was quite a talker. Spoke goodest English, but could NOT stop talking about HIMSELF in a grandeur sort of way: "I was thinking of THE winner of THE Kentucky Derby THE other day, and I was wondering if THE mosquitos had anything to do with THE race." Talk about VAIN!
So I did an 'Overture' search for the word 'the' only to find out that it is searched for nearly google times a month! (Stupid word...'google' who would search for THAT word anyway?)
Anyway, no one has bid on the term 'the'. It's a freebie! .05 cents a click. (I would have to block certain names from a certain country...but it's still cheap!)
I can see it now: Someone types in, "The best TV show on Earth and in Yugoslovia and in Indiana". Guess who gets THAT traffic?
I'm already thinking of ways to spend my millions of dollars. Maybe I'll buy an album from the Eighties. I always loved the group 'The The'.
