(thread popped up on the radar and I thought it was very humorus. A little too close to the truth for comfort, but humorus non-the-less) >Dual monitors help feed the addiction, Real men have 5. (1 for email, one for web, one for active list, one laptop for the deck, and one mobile pda) >The coffee pot, phone, fridge, >TV and radio are all within arm's reach. <green>. Tv, phone are in reach of course, but the fridge is a novel idea. I remember in college we had two of those minifridges that worked great for beer and double as coffe tables. What's a radio? >I don't have a monitor in the loo yet Laptop! (porta power) >I force myself to get exercise every day 2-3 mile walk a day myself. It goes a long way to staying healthy and productive. I've even mapped how far my 802.11 signal will reach around the neighborhood. hehe Here's the weird think about that though: I live about a mile from a major 4 lane highway. Moderate traffic. I can set here and flip on the laptop and start scanning, and about once a day, I can pull in someone elses 802.11 for a few minutes. I assume it's folks driving by on the highway with their laptop fired up. It gives a whole new meaning to war driving. >and the dogs get fed. Is that related to yard mowing? >I'm usually on the phone All hale head sets! The greatest modern invention since the modem. >take the mouse and the keyboard outside and sit on the deck and work. Laptop again.

I'm not sure how I should put this...I first got the computer at home when I was laid up after a bike accident...so I got into the habit of setting up the monitor, mouse and keyboard so that I can use them from bed...consequently I tend to log off last thing before I go to sleep and switch on before going to make the first coffee of the morning at work, of course, I am always fully dressed

<reflects on the thread title> You folks actually get dressed? Thanks, but I'm trying to quit. ;) Working from home on Maui definitely has it's advantages.

Working from home on Maui definitely has it's advantages. Had a visitor from Hawaii at my gym. RR tracks next to gym can be seen through large windows. When a train came by, Hawaiian visitor stood transfixed until the last car went by. His friend explained that there are no trains where he came from. lawman

I have several puters in my room, is that sad. I have sleep problems due to late nights working (on my computer) so i have three alarm clocks to wale me up for 7.00am 7.15am and 7.17am every morning then I get up around 7.25am check the old emails see anything interesting has happened. Not usually. Check the new, check the forums, cloths on, get in car drive to work. Answeering tech calls on way to work. Nearly crash and die. Luckily that hasnt actually happened yet. Get to work one and half hours after setting off, day at work boring really. several computers inthe office also. Many problems, my phone is ringing again, so Id better answer it.... So that waws a brief run down of how sad i am. this was a pointless post really. But I fire up my PC's (Plural unfortunaly before getting dressed.) I just missed that call... Oh and theres my boss hes looking at me, now I ll pretend that anyone on this message board/forum thing is an important insider from google and he'll let me off. No he wont hes reading over my shoulder, and I m gone......

If you use a laptop before you're dressed, make sure you're VERY careful [abcnews.go.com] :o

the loo... yes! now that's certainly veritable justification for getting another laptop. Get dressed first? Only enough so's I don't offend anyone else that's around.
