BSOD - Could Finally Be Gone
After XP there could be no blue screen of death

 7:41 am on Oct 24, 2002 (gmt 0)

I have been speaking to one of my friends at M$. He is responsible for leading the OS coding team. This is unoffical, however, when we were on the phone last night he was telling me about a 7 hour meeting he was called into. XP (although rearly seen) still have the classic BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death). Anyway, this metting had 1 item on the agenda. M$ wanted rid of the BSOD for the next OS. Do you what they have done? No! It is now the GSOD or MSOD depending on the error type.

For most errors it will be the GSOD (Green). For errors involving stack dumps, memory dumps and unstable systems it will be the MSOD (Maroon).

I'd just like to emphasise something. 7 hour meeting. I've never been on the loo for that long ;).

I've had a good nights sleep shorter than that!

Most of my good nights' sleep is shorter than that...

You would have a ball playing "meeting bingo" in a 7 hour marathon though! :)

If M$ was really serious about this, they'd use Hex encoded RGB values to name their Screens O' Death.

0000FF Screen O' Death = BSOD

They probably will.

Let's see ... what company would you want to work for?

Option 1.
A company that spend 7 hours colour coding the SOD.

One with a meeting like this [google.com] ;)

What fall asleep in meetings or pose badly for photos. WHat I want to know, if GoogleGuy is around is how the players in [google.com...] don't fall over...
