Well, here's some off-base brainstorming ideas...
sow (as in seed)
jet (eg bit-jet)

Here are some trains of thought for your own brainstorming - you never know what might send you off on an interesting tangent...
(I also like "Laser" as posted above)
"Eye of a needle"

Puppy? How about "spot" and variants?

I'm seeing a lot of suggestions that are not related to narrowcasting, I would like to see something related.
"Tunnel vision" is related, it's the same thing only saying it differently. But `tunnel vision` is generally not a good thing. (someone with tunnel vision).
Appreciating the suggestions though :)
and once again: my emailnotifications aren't working :(

Can you explain the term - I thought it meant something else (targetting a "narrow" audience")?

Or you could just call it 'Skinny'. (the inside story, the real truth. skinny and narrow are similar)
In the Navy people want 'the poop'. I wasn't in the Navy but I assume it comes from rumor chats on the poop deck. Hash, dirt, scoop, dope, etc.

broadcasting: bbc = britisch broadcasting company. television for everyone.
narrowcasting: same thing, for a small and `narrow` audience.

>> Embamba - Swahili for 'narrow'
That's the idea's I'm looking for :)
how would one pronounce that? :P

Swahili is usually pronounced exactly as it looks like and all the words I know in it have the emphasis on the first syllable. I don't know many Swahili words though :)
I like Digitalghost's suggestions best.
