IP filtering for Adsense ads
A request for new feature

I was just reading another "help I clicked on my own ad" thread and thought it was about time we asked Google for a new feature in Adsense.

Can we have some sort of IP filtering where we specify IP addresses (or ranges of addresses) that Google will then ignore when calculating clicks on Adsense ads?

I'd like to filter out my own IP address, plus my work IP address. Maybe I could also ad a competitor's IP address into there so that they can't sit and click my ads all day?

Any thought from anyone?

But then you need to know your competitor's IP, and all IP addresses of 'puters he could be using otherwise.

I think eventually it would be best if Google would stop serving ads if they received X ammount of clicks form the same IP in X seconds/minutes. I dont know what hit this would be on hardware, but as we are limited in seeing what happens with the ads the best place to solve this is at G's servers ...
