If you mean inserting a blended ad within an article, sure, loads of people do that however do not try to disguise it as part of the article by manipulating it in any way.

Not only is blending the colors of your ads into your site allowed, it is also recommended on the AdSense Optimization page ( [google.com...] ).

This page also contains several other hints which might be useful to you in increasing your site's revenue potential.
