I noticed the same happening on one of my sites, which is new. On my old site each request is single. No idea why ;o)

My site has five years. It has stable position in google SERPs. For me it is waste of resources to download many pages twice.

From my logs: 66.249.66.166 - - [04/Jun/2005:23:47:30 +0300] "GET /file.html HTTP/1.1" 200 21065 "-" "Mediapartners-Google/2.1" 66.249.66.166 - - [04/Jun/2005:23:47:31 +0300] "GET /file.html HTTP/1.1" 200 21065 "-" "Mediapartners-Google/2.1" 66.249.66.166 - - [04/Jun/2005:23:47:31 +0300] "GET /file.html HTTP/1.1" 200 21065 "-" "Mediapartners-Google/2.1" As i can understand, this is meant to be as test for static content/fast changing dynamic content. There can be scraper- and spammerscripts, generating new, random content EVERY TIME. And so mediabot can be sure, that crawled content stable in some degree.

Guys, If you have 3 ads blocks - you will have 3 requests 2 ads block - 2 requests. What is wrong here?:)

I don't know the exact time it started but I have been seeing the same for quite a few months, two requests for the same file with one second difference and only one ad block per page
