Is there a primer on this anywhere?

How do you track high paying ads with channels?

You can't track specific ads, you can only track specific pages, or ad unit placements..

meaning: Say you have a 10 page site, with 3 ad units on each page.. You could create 30 ad channels, 1 for each ad unit that is displayed on your site, and then you'd know exactly how much each ad unit is bringing in. There is no way to track how much money is coming in based on the theme of the ads that are displayed within an ad unit though.

What would be really useful is if the stats gave then you a percentage output, to show how much of total revenues one page/or ad generated.

It'd be a goog thing for G to implement too; the better the pubs can track, target and channel visitors, the more valuable AdSense will be to everyone, IMHO.

There are trackers...page trackers that will track which ads are clicked on.
