| Adsense bot but no Adsense

Hi, AdSense bot is visiting my site but I don't have AdSense on my sites. Any reasons why this might be? Thanks for your help, Best regards, Jeremy

Just a wild guess, but it sounds like you had a visitor that happened to use the AdSense preview tool while they were viewing your site.

Also adsense bot sometimes follows links to determine what the context of a page is. Say somebody with adsense on a page has a link to your page, the adsense bot might follow it to decide what the original page is about. If this is the case you might want to ban the little fellow. After all, if google ain't payin' you, why should you entertain their robot?

If someone is using Opera, some of the versions have AdSense, so the mediabot will pay your site a visit to show the Opera user targeted ads.

Which is another good reason to ban the adsense bot. Why should Opera profit from your website via adsense when you aren't? Especially when it comes at your cost (bandwidth and all).
