Channel reports in real-time: Until now, channel data was delayed 2 days before appearing in your reports. We've upgraded our system to provide real-time reporting, allowing you to quickly react to changes in your ad performance on a page-by-page basis.

Remove channels: Your channels UI has been cleaned up, by introducing a 'Remove Channel' option that allows you to remove channels from your active and inactive lists.

"Shift-select" for channels: When selecting channels from the Reports page selection box, use SHIFT+click to select multiple channels at once.

I have been asking for real time channel stats for a while, it is nice to see we now have it available :) It will make it much easier for monitoring and testing pages.

They have also added page impressions versus ad unit impressions as well:

We've added new options to your reporting page, allowing you to select from page impressions or ad unit impressions when generating your performance reports.

You should see it when you login to your account, or if it is a rolling update, you should see it shortly.

In addition, your browser will now remember your prior report settings each time you select a report. If you have a favorite report that you run often, you're going to love this feature!

I notice this feature today. I really like it.
Before I have to select another report first.

Sorry... maybe I don't understand.

How can I have a report for pageviews for a site/url channel? Once I click "Data by channel" the dropdown menu only allows to select "View by ad blocks".

I'd like to see pageviews/CPM for a full site/url channel.

The remembering your report setting is indeed cool and something they brought over from Adwords.

Reid,

Aggregate is the whole pie with or without the use of channels. A channel is just a look at a piece of the pie that you have defined.

Mauricio,

You have to set up the URL channels yourself (Ad Settings > Channels - or - Create / Manage Channels). Then the URL channels can be accessed in the drop-down.

markus - that is very interesting. Maybe you could let us know how it effects earnings? I wonder if something like that would ever be rolled out to regular publishers. It seems that if it would increase revenue by a significant amount, Google would do it. Don't they often try features with premium publishers first before bringing it to everyone else?

Kubano, this can't have anything to do with Urchin. These changes would have been in development before the acquisition. Even going forward, it's hard to imagine how they could repurpose Urchin for AdSense stats. They are very different programs/interfaces...

That's what I don't understand.

I have more than 50 channels running for some websites. When I select the radio button "Data by channel", the dropdown menu which show data by ad blocks or by pageviews become gray and the report only shows data for ad blocks.

Can't I have a report by pageviews for an URL channel?

Anyone figure out the time slice for the real time updates?

Mauricio, I now see what you are referring to. Looks like that was either overlooked, couldn't be done or might be something yet to be added.

mayor, the best I could figure out yesterday was around an hour. It might be more or less, but that's about how long it took for me to see a change that I'd made show up.

Mauricio, IMHO you can't have report by page views for a URL channel or channels in general because:

* URL channels are implemented similar to general channels
* And with general channels, one can create two adblocks with two different channels on the same page. So channels and pageviews don't mix well and cause descrepencies.
