Will my site be given the nod for AdSense if...
I have empty spaces prepared for AdSense?

 7:47 pm on Mar 24, 2005 (gmt 0)

Iam about to finish my first content site. Initially 100 pages of pure un-adulterated niche content ready for publication and its a beauty to behold. I have my content on the left, my navbar on the right, and a 160-pixel wide empty space in between them intended for the AdSense skyscraper.

If I apply to AdSense with this middle space empty, will I get the nod?

Most likely... let us know what happens :-)

You can put up some other advertisement temporarily. They usually have no problems with that.

When I applied a year or so ago I did not get approved. When the site I applied with went from a 2 to a 7 (pr) they sent me an email and asked me.

Things may have changed.

Good luck with your site : )

Hey bts111,

Do you mean you did not get approved initially then because your site has empty spaces obviously intended for AdSense?

I will be submitting any day now. Naturally, my site will have PR0 when I apply because it will be just recently launched by then.

What are my chances of getting approved? I heard they are not that picky. If they allow scraper sites in, then it would be total injustice if they refuse to approve my totally original 100-page niche content site! I might be forced to build scraper sites then.

My site did not have empty space as I was running other stuff.

I would just sign up and see what happens. I think with what you have said about your site it will be approved.
