It looks like Lycos/Tripod/Angelfire is using Google Adsense now, unless I'm quite mistaken. If they do well, maybe they'll tone down the popups. Now, to tweak my own websites so I can get in on this action too. After all, I'm getting much more traffic than these forgotten corners of freesiteland . . .

Lycos.co.uk sites have been for a couple of months...in an ugly left frame.

That's the Content targeted Ads programme, only accepting sites with very high pageviews.
The money goes to Lycos, not the individual webmasters. [webmasterworld.com...]

Man, when i first started on the web i used angelfire, recently i went to a free host hosted site (don't remember which one) and they had floating banners that obscured the content, i hope to hell google doesn't allow that, and that angelfire/lycos/freehostingwebsitesfromhell aren't going to use ansense, IMHO it degrades the whole program for a quick buck.
