| Two Questions Color and Content |

msg:1458892 | 12:28 am on Sep 3, 2003 (gmt 0) | 1. Can I alter the colors as I wish, just those from Google's drop down menu, or those of a certain format? I'm not able to view the adsense pages with IE, and with Opera I don't get the drop down menu for colors? 2. Any tips for content? I have a restaurant that has a popular recipes section. When the ads appeared they were about weddings. Another section of the site is about receptions and banquets so I really don't want to be sending those users away.

| Yes, however, I did adjust it. Because the pages are usually put up per customer request, they are rather sloppily optomised. I've fixed that. Also, the outbound links to the reception pages were gifs with alt text that included receptions. I've toned that down some. We'll see what happens.

And, yes, the CTR declined by some 30 per cent over the 10 days that I kept the experiment running. Now, 10 days after I changed to colors back to the Google standard colors, the CTR has reverted to the previous levels. D.
