Cleaner. It would be a nice touch if they changed the background color to differentiate between the earnings and payments. LisaB

Yes, the "Payment History" tab. https://www.google.com/adsense/reports-payment It might be a rollout release, where it takes a few hours for it to show up in everyone's account.

| Over the next few weeks, we'll be rolling out an updated Payment History page to our publishers. Look for a cleaner page that provides a quick snapshot of payment and earnings information - for detailed invoices, click the Earnings line item for any month. Monthly invoices will include earnings and adjustment information for your AdSense for content and/or AdSense for search account. Rest assured that your earnings will not be affected in any way. |
| https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=15144 Last time something got rolled out in the accounts, I was one of the last in the group to see the changes. I must have been in the right group this time ;)

It looks a little clumsy. I'd like it better if it had separate columns for earnings and payments instead of a combined "amounts" column. That would make it easier to see a year's worth of totals (either earnings or payments) at a glance.

Interestingly, it is no longer showing the January earnings payment as approved, the last entry is for the last day of January for the monthly earnings.

| The thing that caught my eye the most is the "Payment Type: Check" when you click the payment details. Might just be a sign of future payment options to come |
| Made me smile at the mix of languages on mine Payment Type: Check Cheque Date: 25-Jan-2005 You would think one of those PhD's could speak the Queens English ;)

| hehe...so you noticed that too. So we will no longer know when they cut the check or maybe it will show back up. [edited by: The_Contractor at 9:32 pm (utc) on Feb. 23, 2005]

| It looks as though now it might show up once the check number has been issued, which is usually a few days after the initial approval.

| I see: Payment Type: Check Check Date: 25-Jan-2005 But I am in Canada, where it would be a cheque and not a check ;) All the quirks we happen to notice :)

I agree with EFV. You can't get a year's or a quarter's total. Kind of a step back in terms of ease of use, unless there's a further development to come.

Wait a minute - what you are describing is what I have had since yesterday... On the line is January 31, 2005 "Earnings" is clickable and then the amount. I have no history before that. Are you saying it no longer says approved?

I have it now and I have one word for it: Sucks. This way of displaying it all goes against my orderly sense. Former bookkeeper here, and I need to see it all. Guess I'll have to plug it into Excel now.

I also prefer the way it was before this change. This is the second recent UI change that's a regression in usability. I'm beginning to wonder who AS has for a focus group, beta testers, and product management. I would much rather see implementation of any of the substantive feature requests discussed on this forum than these UI twiddles.

This is not an improvement. As with EFV, two columns is much better -- one showing the credits (earnings) and one showing the debits (payments).

Yes, before was slightly better because it included more features (quarterly total incomes, easier to read, a lot less clicking about). I liked the idea about a column for earnings & payments + color difference. Then again maybe they just don't need to tell us when it is approved...the check date should be good enough. It could be in preparation for the different payment methods..(she grins from ear to ear). Personally whatever they do is alright, they give more information about the actual "payment" than most affiliate programs. Usually it just shows up in the mail!
