You know as someone that runs a website mostly for kicks than for money, keeping up with the demands of your visitors can be a chore sometimes. This is the case if the website in question has some kind of interactive component such as a message board.

As you guys know activity on those can quickly escalate and you might have a day with more questions than one can answer. As the site owner you feel obligated to answer them if another community member has not done so already or if the other community member has answered the question in a way that you do not agree completely.

There have been days when after putting a lot of hours in my regular job, I realize that there are seven questions waiting to be answered and that it is going to be one of those nights when I have to think of a lot of reasonable responses. Honestly, sometimes I do not feel like it.

However, days like today bring a smile to my face and encourage me to continue doing the work as I realize that something that started as a hobby has developed into something else.

Today, I checked December revenue and was glad to see that it was a new high. I also saw that January EPC is at levels that I had not seen since the beginning of the program.

I think that making information readily available to the masses is a goal of Google and I can tell you that they are succeeding. Unfortunately, I also think that they are succeeding in encouraging the creation of useless sites, but that is another story :)

For me, it's pretty much the same.

I have a site on a niche topic which has interested me since a young age, and it contains a lot of information on it.

It's nice to see that the hard work which I've done over the past few years on a hobby has resulted in being a reasonable portion of my income.

And the great thing is, that so long as Adsense is kept clean, then it should continue because I know for a fact that the traffic is converting into sales for the advertisers. I know that because my site also sells items, and it converts very well.

So, we can raise a glass to Google, and the advertisers for developing a win-win-win situation.
