How much can be made? With 2000 unique visitors per day, can someone tell me what kind of money is involved?

It's far to varied to be able to give eben a rough estimate.

It all depends on the theme of your site. Different adverts are priced very differently.

Sorry this didn't help much.

Mack.

Theres so many variables that its hard to say... give it a shot for a week or two, and find out. It was a big raise in revenue for me from traditional banner ads.

>give it a shot for a week or two

That raises another question: are most applications accepted?

Read the terms, policies and FAQ - as long as your site is within the guidelines, you should be accepted.

I'm not too sure if most applications are accepted or not, but I just joined the adsense program, and I know for sure that whichever googleite came to my site, they spent a good 1/2 hour going through most of my whole domain. Thumbs up to them for being so thorough, and also accepting me :)

As for how much to make.. I don't know for sure, but I know content is the key here. I rearranged my whole site to display adsense better per say, and some say if your site is filled with lots of text sometimes the ads are missed or depending where you place them it could be center of attention. I suppose it depends on alot of factors. I'm new to the program myself, and seeing good results, but I'm sure a more veteran adsense webmaster can tell you more.

Good program by the way.. I'm very happy so far, it's worth joining even just to try.

If you do decide to try it for a week or two, remember that commissions must be at least $100 to receive a payout.

Side Note: For our site, just removing the borders and putting on white background doubled the number of click thrus! Something that minor is one of the variables.

i am no expert but i ve been with google adsense for two weeks now and my site generates similar unique (2088) figures but my page views are around 25476 per day and i have so far never made less the $50 per day except for the first few days while i was setting it up.
now i am at the point where i do everything possiable to keep adsense thought of losing it really scares the hell out of me.
i say give it try you have nothing to lose but lot to gain if you succeed. click rate is just unbelievable like yesterday i wokeup and logged in to see how i was doing i had same amount $ as the clicks and just to give you idea clicks were more then 20.
mod please snip if i have broken any rules of forums or adsense i just wanted to give orignal poster some idea while not disclosing the exact figures.

2000 unique visitors per day

Yes, worth a go.

I used AdSense on a pretty niche site that only gets 200-250 visitors a day, and I typically get between $10-$13 a day. Also, to backup what clearvision stated--removing the borders and setting the background to white really boosted my clicks also.

To clarify what clearvision wrote, if your balance is under $100 at the end of the calendar year, Google will pay you your entire balance. That is better than many affiliates who hold balances indefinitely until a threshold is met.

Can you elaborate on what you mean? AdSense doesn't kick publishers out for inferior performance so I'm curious what you mean.

yes poor adsense CTR does not have your account closed.

it will keep on runing indefinitely, regardless if u get no clicks for months....

RichmondSteve,

There have been reports here of people getting kicked off the AdSense program for fraudulent clicks, who have protested that they hadn't caused them.

yes it happened to me i share my pc with about six people and have set my site as home page so everyone who get on the pc when they open the browser first thing they see is my site which caused some invalid clicks google was very quick to pickup and sent me email i replied what the problem was also explained that i will remove my site as home page and will tell everyone not to click any ads from my site and that was the end of problem.
google will consider you Situation provindig you give valid reason plus i dont need to click on my own ads when i get around 300 to 400 from visitors on my site.
not worth the risk of losing all for few clicks

That's not what I mentioned - there are people who have been kicked from AdSense who maintain that they did not cause the fraudulent clicks.

Actually you don't. You are breaking Google's TOS by quoting your earnings per day!

You're right - I've read those threads here. When I was referring to inferior performance I meant low CTR or effective CPM below a certain threshold, not fraud.
